Who is SOSEN ?

My name is Naomi Sorensen. My entire life, I’ve been chasing stories. I’ve always had a natural curiosity, asking questions, wondering how people live, and what moments have shaped them. Isn’t it incredible that out of 8 billion people in the world, not a single one has lived the exact same life?

One of the most important people in my story was my grandpa. We were incredibly close. He created a club with the older cousins that we called HANG4 which turned into be an adventure club. He made the best homemade chocolate malts during weekend sleepovers with my cousins. He’d cook our favorite meals and, while we ate, share stories and advice that somehow always felt perfectly timed.

When I was 19, he was diagnosed with cancer, and 2 years later, he passed. I took lots of photos and during my HANG4 club time but still, I find myself longing for more. I miss the sound of his laugh, the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled, the way it felt just being around him. After he passed, we found a document where he had written down his life story. It was beautiful to read, but it made me realize something: there’s nothing quite like seeing and hearing someone you love tell their story in their own voice, with their own expressions. That’s something I wish I had for every loved one I’ve lost.

And that’s how SOSEN FILMS was born.

I want to create living memories—ones that capture the mannerisms, the laughter, the hardships, and the love that define a person. Whether it’s your wedding day, family stories, and falling in love never too early or too late to preserve their story. Because their life matters, and their legacy deserves to be seen, heard, and remembered.

My job is to capture memories so that way you can live in the moment and still have something to remember the essence of that moment. One of my favorite movies in the world (in my professional opinion as a film major:)) is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and in that film it explores capturing life while living in the moment. Don’t let your mom and/or friends capture important moments for you. They need to be living in the moment with you. That is what I am for. I am here to capture your “quintessence” so that everyone else can live it.
